Citrate Malate is used to treat bone loss (osteoporosis), decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets), and muscle disease (latent tetany). All these conditions are caused due to low calcium levels, and Citrate Malate treats them. Calcitriol is used to prevent bone disease and low levels of calcium in patients whose kidneys or parathyroid glands do not work normally.
