MEDICATION USED FOR
5-RIZ Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms such as arunny nose or hives.5-RIZ Levocetirizine is used to treat symptoms of year-round (perennial)allergies in children who are at least 6 months old.5-RIZ Levocetirizine is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic utricaria (hives) in adults and children who are at least 6 months old.
INDICATIONS
For the management of symptoms of seasonal allergies or perennial allergies, including allergic rhinitis.
For the treatment of the uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
For the symptomatic treatment of atopic dermatitis.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
5-RIZ Levocetirizine works by blocking histamine receptors. It does not prevent the actual release of histamine from mast cells, but prevents it binding to its receptors.5-RIZ Levocetirizine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, and sneezing. It is also used to relieve itching and hives.5-RIZ works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction.
